In Weimar

Meeting in good company

Great events and great names have been closely associated with Weimar for more than 200 years. Goethe and Schiller, Bach and Liszt, Bauhaus and the Weimar Republic. The cultural landscape is varied and inspiring - an ideal place for intellectual exchange. There is something for everyone in Weimar. Music connoisseurs can follow in the footsteps of Bach or discover Franz Liszt. Lovers of modernism can look forward to the Bauhaus. Nevertheless, Weimar's reputation is primarily due to its classical heritage: Goethe and Schiller are still at the top of the list. The city combines a wealth of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in a very small area: A total of 16 ensembles have been awarded the UNESCO label.

Our recommendations

City tour: ideal for a first impression

Discover Weimar's sights and learn anecdotal facts about the city's history. The tours, which take you to the most famous places in the city center, are entertaining and interesting. If you are looking for something special, you could also package the city discovery as a scavenger hunt.

The origins of the Bauhaus

The Bauhaus Museum Weimar was opened in the immediate vicinity of the Weimarhalle to mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Bauhaus. Discover the world's oldest Bauhaus collection and the sites of the early Bauhaus, which are now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This can be done in a very entertaining way with the program "The Bauhaus Women", which could become part of the evening program.
